Buy Single Malt, Grain & Blended Japanese Whisky

About 20 years ago, after a decade of minimal popularity, Japanese distilleries had not set aside enough barrels in their aging warehouses to deal with the completely unforeseen boom in demand that was to come.

It was only in 2014, after the airing of "Massan", a television drama about the father of Japanese whisky Masataka Taketsuru, that local demand increased. This domestic rise in popularity would pale in significance to the worldwide attention that was about to change the Japanese whisky landscape forever. In 2015, the Suntory Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013 edition was awarded " the best in the world" by the acclaimed Whisky Bible – and the rest is history.

Since then, Japanese distilleries like Suntory's Yamazaki and Hakushu, Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo (and others) have literally run dry of warehoused stocks. This has not stopped them from innovating and producing some excellent blended and single malt no-age-statement lines. What it does mean is that stock with age statements have become incredibly rare and highly sought after. We have an excellent range below for your perusal.
