First released exclusively for global travel retail in October 2007, Highland Park 21 year old was reduced to 40% alc.vol. Some rate the 21-year-old Highland Park as one of the very best expressions. The higher proof edition was named Best Single Malt of the Year at the World Whisky Awards 2009. Highland Park is Scotland’s northernmost whisky distillery, lying just to the North-east of fellow Orcadian, Scapa. Orkney is a rugged, beautiful island and the Highland Park distillery sits on a hillside near Kirkwall. Many experts rate 21-year-old Highland Park as one of the best examples from this popular distillery. Highland Park 21 is a full-flavoured, powerful, sweet single malt with a rich smoky finish. Highland Park Aged 21 Years is now a deleted line and has become a sought after collectable by scotch enthusiasts worldwide.
