This limited edition Bunnahabhain 2008 Manzanilla Cask 11 year old expression from Islay's Bunnahabhain Distillery was drawn from Manzanilla sherry casks, (spending its entire life span (11 years) in Manzanilla Sherry casks. It was distilled on July 2nd 2008 and distilled in May 2020.) which have imparted oodles of rich and intriguing notes to the whisky's flavour profile. Expect salted caramel, dried fruit and chocolate aplenty here.
Aroma: Sultanas, raisins, cashews, a hint of olive oil, mocha and toffee.
Taste: Salted caramel tart, dark chocolate, a slow build of dry festive spices and a little touch of red fruit.
Finish: Chocolate coated peanuts, dates and damsons.
